If you are planning to go to Italy and to visit the Veneto region, don’t forget this name: Parco Sigurtà, near Verona and only thirty minutes away from Sirmione. The park is very large, however, there is a small road train, golf buggies or bicycles by which to tour the gardens. The walks are very pleasant and there are a lot of places to chill out. Among the many points of interest, the kids particularly loved the maze and the farm.
In my opinion, the medieval town of Borghetto, near Verona, is one of Italy’s best kept secrets. A tiny and picturesque village, Borghetto is known for its water mills and romantic setting. You can even spend a night in one of the mills and enjoy the suggestive view over the Mincio river.
A dome shaped like a shell is an artistic expression of extraordinary beauty and simplicity. If you happen to be near Padua, make sure to pay a visit to the Duomo of Montagnana, a small, charming town surrounded by a very well preserved medieval wall.
