As a blogger about Italy and travel, I think it’s important to highlight other useful online resources that may complement the information on our site.
I spent some time browsing through InItaly.com, and it’s clear to me that this Web site exudes true passion for Italy. The staff at InItaly.com has been collecting more than 4000 pages of content over 13 years. Topics span from selected places to stay (which seems to be their core business), to things to do (practical planning tips) to recommended things to see.
I tested the depth of the suggested itineraries by reading what the editors said about my region, Friuli Venezia Giulia. I was impressed by the accuracy and breadth of relevant linked material, such as recipes, historical notes, events, facts and more.
While the site could benefit from a fresh redesign, I praise the huge effort of the staff to keep it up-to-date and to offer a wealth of free useful information to travelers.
Napoleon called the Piazza San Marco “the finest drawing room in Europe.” Imagine to be part of this enchanted picture, sitting right in front of the cathedral, ordering a coffee while listening to a live orchestra. The Caffe’ Florian is all that. Opened in 1720, this is Italy’s oldest Cafe’. If you are traveling on a budget, you may wish to hold off on this unique experience.
