I love this photo. Maybe it is because green has always been my favorite color or maybe it is because you can create some very interesting images from some very unusual subjects, the fact is that this picture is one of my favorite ones. Le nozze d’oro
Two years ago my in-laws celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a holy mass held in a little medieval church built in 1411 in Muggia (near Trieste). Did you know that the golden anniversary, or nozze d’oro, originated during the Roman Empire, when the husband used to crown his wife with a golden wreath? Now guess which gift they have received in three different versions…
Coffee here, coffee there, coffee everywhere
Everybody knows that Italians are coffee lovers and yet, for some reasons, I was surprised to see this coffee vending machine in my son’s elementary school. However, it all makes sense: the pausa caffè (coffee break) is a must in Italy, therefore why not to give the school staff the chance to enjoy their daily caffettino in a super fast and easy way, and without leaving the premises? Bellissimo.
